Ala Moana

If you’re staying in Waikiki check out the festivities in Ala Moana, home to Hawaii’s largest shopping mall. The Ala Moana Center is showcasing live entertainment starting July 1 until July 4th and is also featuring various sales throughout the stores in the mall. The Ala Moana Center’s Fireworks Spectacular begins at 8:30pm on the 4th at  Ala Moana Beach Park and is rated in the top 25 fireworks show across the country. Tune in to FM 92.3 KSSK for the soundtrack that accompanies the show for the full experience. You can drive, take a trolley, or walk from Waikiki.

Kailua

Kailua is hosting their 72nd Independence Day Parade from 10am-12 noon and features military and veteran units, youth groups, bands, and horses. The parade begins at Kainalu Drive and Palapu St and ends at the Kailua Intermediate School. After the parade head to Kailua Beach Park and enjoy some fun in the sun while you wait for the Kailua Fireworks and Air Show! The celebration continues at 5:45pm with skydivers and a flight show with fireworks following at 8pm.

Pearl Harbor

The Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is celebrating the Fourth of July by hosting a live concert featuring Stone Temple Pilots as well as many family activities including a petting zoo, games, rides, contests, and prizes. There’s also a car show, volleyball setup, beer garden, roller derby matches, and of course a fireworks show. This event is open to DoD ID card holders and their guests, for more information check out this link.

Pearl Harbor and the Battleship Missouri Memorial, also known as the Mighty Mo, presents Picnic on the Pier. You and your ohana can celebrate Independence Day on America’s last battleship and enjoy raffle prizes and activities for the keiki. You can bring your own food and beverages or purchase at the venue. Click here to reserve your spot!

Schofield Barracks

Schofield Barracks presents 4th of July Spectacular at Weyand Field. The event begins at 10am and includes carnival rides, games, dance performances, parachute demonstrations, a concert performed by the 25th ID Band, and fireworks show. This event is open to military/DoD and the general public; visitors should enter through the Foote Gate. Picnic spaces are also available for reservations, to learn more visit their website.

North Shore

Turtle Bay Resort is hosting their Fourth of July celebration with food trucks, live music, and a fireworks show beginning at 8pm. The West Lawn opens at 2pm so you can come and enjoy the festivities early.

The Polynesian Cultural Center located in Laie presents its first 4th of July Celebration featuring live music and dance performances, bounce houses, carnival games, food, and fireworks. The family fun begins at 4pm and is free for all. Fireworks begin at 9pm.

Ko Olina

On the west side, Ko Olina will be starting their firework show at 8:30pm with various restaurants hosting special menus in honor of the Fourth of July.
