From October 11th to 12th, Toshi and Cindy, from And You Creations’ sales team, embarked on an exciting journey to Korea to attend the prestigious ‘2023 Hawai’i Travel Mission in Korea’ event. Daniel NaNāho‘opi‘i, Hawaii Tourism Authority Chief Administrative Officer, along with 14 esteemed travel industry agents came all the way from Hawai’i to share the latest update in Hawai’i travel and spread the spirit of Aloha far and wide.

 

On October 11th, there was ‘Aloha VIP Dinner Reception’ event at the Westin Josun Seoul Hotel. Tommy Waters, the Chairperson of the Honolulu City Council, and Joy M. Sakurai, Deputy Chief of Mission at the US embassy joined the event as well. Their warm welcome speeches set the tone for the evening. The reception saw the gathering over 100 esteemed guest from industry leaders, media industry, the U.S. Embassy in Seoul.

The excitement continued on October 12th with the enlightening ‘Hawaii Destination Seminar’ held at the  Lotte Hotel Seoul. Over 100 professionals from the Korean travel industry’s Hawaii sales department staff joined and HTK (Hawaii Tourism Korea) shared the latest updates on Hawaiian tourism and introduced the  Malama Hawai’i campaign. Moreover, 14 local Hawaii partners took the stage, delivering comprehensive updates on their respective tours, hotels and tourist destinations. Toshi Takemura, our sales manager, had an awesome presentation representing AYC in Korea. Post-seminar, the Hawaii Travel Mart provided a unique platform for Hawaiian partners and key representatives from major Korean travel agencies to engage in in-depth discussions. These conversations revolved around exploring collaborative avenues, creating innovative Hawaii travel products, and fortifying the market through personalized one-on-one meetings.

This event proved to be a momentous opportunity for Toshi and Cindy as they proudly represented AYC and showcased our premium tours. Their efforts were not only about business but also about nurturing valuable relationships with key figures in the Korean travel industry. We look forward to welcoming more guests from Korea who are keen to explore the enchantment of Hawai’i through our premium tours.
